My lesson is a 5th grade ELA and science lesson on protecting resources in Michigan. My objective and goals for the lesson are that students will be able to research, describe, and write an opinion piece that compares how Michigan protects its natural resources. After doing the research the students will work collaboratively on an opinion piece that will focus on which means of protecting resources they think is the best.
