This Moodle course will guide you to an understanding of healthy living practices in the areas of food and exercise. You will explore common barriers that prevent people from implementing healthy living practices. You will also learn how to develop realistic solutions to overcome barriers.
After completing this Moodle course, you will have addressed several 7th grade standards and you will be able to:
- Identify and critique personal and institutional health barriers.
- Formulate reasonable solutions to personal and institutional health barriers.
- Illustrate at least 2 content-related concepts using a model, simulation, or concept-mapping software.
Create an original, presentation that includes a variety at least 5 media features (e.g., animations, graphs, charts, audio, graphics, video, etc.)
Present information to an audience of school peers and at least one school administrator or food service provider.
