Third Grade Social Studies Unit. The goals and objectives for this course are as listed:
1. After a mini lesson and guidance in the classroom, third grade students will follow an online learning experience and explain the history of Michigan.
2. Third grade students will become historians and learn about how Michigan changed over time and developed into what they see today.
3. Following lessons and interactions on the Moodle website, third grade students (in groups of three) will create a timeline showing the important events in Michigan’s history.
4. After much research and the creation of a timeline, third grade students will write a narrative letter to someone about the history of Michigan as if they were living in the settlement of Michigan.
