Overview: This course gives an overview of all depressive disorders (8 in total). Also covered are the distinct therapy methods used to treat these disorders (7 in total). Finally, students in this course will be presented with fictional case-studies, and have to provide diagnosis and prognosis.
Objectives:
- SWBAT list and describe what measures and what type of therapy a psychiatrist would take to treat psychotic depression.
-SWBAT identify specific characteristics about depressive disorders.
-SWBAT read case studies and write what they think patient diagnosis would be (including reasoning/support).
