Course information

      This on-line learning experience is designed to teach students skills to be educated consumers and active citizens through a statistical/mathematical lens. The lessons will enhance what we are doing in the classroom with our statistics unit. This guided set of lessons includes practice of statistical calculations for procedural mastery as well as methods to detect and refute so-called fake news or misleading advertising to test concept understanding in an authentic and engaging manner. The unit is designed to address and incorporate literacy essential skills in the secondary mathematics classroom.
