3rd Grade Social Studies-Geography: Natural Resources
This course is designed to teach students about natural resources their categories, their locations in Michigan, how they are used, their consequences, and the basics of sustainability. My online experience will teach very briefly what natural resources are, the two types: renewable and nonrenewable, and how they are used. We will then examine what resources exist in Michigan. Students will locate which resources and where they are. They will look for patterns and make observations. They will do this using maps and other digital resources on the internet to complete this. They will then be taught how resources are used, adapted, and modified. They will then investigate an issue regarding the use of natural resources either in MI or globally and form an opinion to be presented via powerpoint.
