5th Grade Social Studies - American Government
This online learning experience will focus on three essential questions. Why do we have both state and federal governments? How are core democratic values and constitutional principals reflected in our government? And how is our government organized to give and to limit power? Students will be exposed to the key concepts of checks and balances, the Constitution, federalism, government and the purposes of government, individual rights, limited government, popular sovereignty, rule of law, and the separation of power. Learning these key concepts will allow students to answer the essential questions.
